curitiba and joinville

Curitiba – a model city known for its cleanness and greenness and general well orderliness

more curitiba

more curitiba – this clock moved backwards
loving the flowers

-A museum

joinville – avenue of palmtrees outside what was once the Spanish expat royals house

On the road again – to Florianopolis

Florianopolis – this is kind of an island in the south of brazil that is transitioning from farm-ville to resort-ville – many surfers around here…this is the view from the hostel we stayed in.
that is the beach

This is the cow that lived next door to Claudio and Mellisa’s house where we stayed for a few days. A 20 minute walk away from an amazing beach - just have to skirt some giant mud puddles, dodge the packs of ferel dogs, and hike over a few mid sized dunes to get there - well worth it though . and this is the amazing beach – we only saw two other people the whole time we were there.
fun in the not sun – the sun only shone on one day of the 6 we stayed in floripa – but I still managed to get a wicked sun burn – it only takes one sunny day on a Brazilian beach to get a very nice burn!
another beach in floripadunes behind the beach in floripa

Patricia making farofa - kind of like a giant loaf of steamed couscous - have it for breakfast with eggs.
